Volunteer Shift for Cleaning 

(Court-Mandated Volunteers)

Position Overview

Court-mandated volunteers will assist with general cleaning and deep cleaning of the kitchen facilities. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, sanitary, and functional environment. Volunteers must be able to follow instructions, work independently, and complete tasks to standard without constant supervision. 

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, including countertops, sinks, tables, and prep areas
• Sweep, mop, and spot clean floors.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as assigned
• Deep clean appliances (ex: ovens, refrigerators, etc.) as directed
• Take out trash and replace liners
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and cleaning protocols
• Use cleaning supplies and equipment properly
• Complete assigned tasks within the scheduled shift time

Expectations

• Arrive on time and remain on site for the full scheduled shift
• Maintain a respectful and professional attitude
• Follow verbal and written instructions without argument
• Work steadily and productively for the duration of the shift
• Notify the supervisor immediately of any issues or questions
• Cell phone use is not permitted during work time

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry up to approximately 25 lbs.
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning motions

Eligibility and Requirements

• Must be able to perform assigned duties without accommodation
• Must comply with all RRM court-mandated volunteer guidelines
• Failure to meet expectations may result in dismissal and non-verification of hours
