Due to Winnebago Health Department regulations, all food served to our guests must be prepared in a certified kitchen with a certified cook in attendance. With that in mind, below is a list of options in order for all of our supportive volunteers to participate in our Sunday Evening Sack Meals. We currently need 200 sack meals each week.
Option 1*: YOU PURCHASE & PREPARE THE MEALS / BEVERAGES AT YOUR CHURCH OR ALTERNATE CERTIFIED LOCATION: You purchase, prepare and assemble the meals in a certified kitchen with a certified cook in attendance. You then drop them off at our food service entrance between Friday & Saturday to be stored in our walk-in cooler for Sunday dinner.
Option 2**: YOU PURCHASE > YOU PREPARE THE MEALS / BEVERAGES AT THE MISSION: Bring all food and packaging items to RRM on Friday or Saturday and assemble the meals while our certified cook is present.
Option 3*: YOU PURCHASE > WE PREPARE THE MEALS / BEVERAGES: You purchase the food and packaging items and drop them off at our food service entrance on Thursday or Friday prior to your service date. Our staff will prepare the sack meals and store them in our walk-in cooler to be ready for Sunday evening.
* Times for drop-off at our food Service entrance: 9a-4p
** Option 2 is dependent on staff schedules. Time and Dates for meal preparation at the mission can be flexible.
